World Food & Winetaste, sip, cook
In each workshop enjoy a gastronomic journey through food and wine from different countries. There will be 4 dishes to taste, each paired with a wine to bring out the individual flavours and style of the dish. Robin will be demonstrating all 4 of these dishes, before you prepare 2 of them yourself.
Along the way Jenny Siddall will guide you through the wines, explaining the story behind each bottle, where it comes from and how it is made.
Increase your knowledge about different grape varieties and styles of wines and learn how to pair food and wine. Forget your preconceptions and open up your taste buds!
Jenny studied Spanish, French and Italian at university and fell in love with wine through travel. Whilst living in Spain she gained a Masters in Viticulture and Oenology and ran the wine tourism department of Bodegas Baigorri, a top ranked winery in Rioja. She has also guided wine tours for many years in countries as far and wide as Argentina, Chile, Italy and Spain, and works now as a freelance wine educator and wine tour guide. Professionally qualified to level 3 with the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) she is currently completing the Diploma.
Jenny loves passing on her knowledge of wines and no matter how much or how little you know you will finish your session understanding more about the range of wines you have tasted. Where to buy the wines, how they are made and what to pair them with and many more questions will be answered. And, of course, the main thing is to taste and enjoy some really interesting wines!
